Howgill Farm - Things to do

Howgill Farm is the ideal base for as active (or inactive) a holiday

as you choose. Whatever your preference: from horse riding to reading;

drinking to fine dining, you'll find it here. Here are a few suggestions:

Dales delights: Simon Seat, Malham Tarn, Gordale Scar

Flora & fauna: Parcevall Hall Gardens, Harlow Carr

History on the doorstep: Bolton Abbey, Fountains Abbey

You saw it here first: Bronte. Emmerdale, Herriot and Heartbeat country

Visitor attractions: Hesketh Farm Park, Ewedale Model Village,

The Forbidden Corner, The Falconry Centre, Kilnsey Park trout farm,

Dales CRE8 [paint a pot studio]

Pubs & eateries: New Inn, Appletreewick; Craven Arms, Appletreewick;

Tea Rooms: Parcevall Hall Gardens and Burnsall

For the walker: We have a selection of books available for everyone

from hardened walkers to child-friendly walks. You can also take the

bus and then walk. It is a good idea to use an Ordnance Survey map

for long walks over the moors; you can borrow these from your local

library.
